Be a drop in the ocean

"Each drop makes an ocean", well, sounds reasonable to me!Lets assume that one day all the drops in the ocean have a fight. Each one has its own reason for not residing in the ocean any more. God! now that becomes a problem. Slowly the drops pack their bags and leave, what we see next is utter calamity...The ocean dries up and the sea creatures breath their last.
But somewhere theres a ray of hope, one of the drops decides that the ocean has been its home, since time immemorial, its a duty for one not to desert it this way!So the drop jumps back into the sea and lands on a fish that was about to die."theres hope", cries out the creature, and hearing her voice the other sea creatures try hard to recover..looking at the miracle happen, the other drops decide to jump in..one, two, four and many more...at last the sea gets full of the drops and the ocean comes back to life.
Most of us crib about the fact that our country is not in a good state, but have we ever tried to become a drop in the ocean and make a difference.."Why Me, what difference would it make if I don't", if each drop in the ocean assumes the same , it would take no time for it to dry up.Its important to understand ones duties and its even more important to perform them, one such duty that we should perform is to vote! That one vote of yours will make your country, your home a better place to live in.
"Nothing ever changes, we say", well! Nothing ever would, until and unless we take a step forward.Though the Mumbai terror attack has the worst memories attached to it, but somewhere there was something really positive that happened in reaction to it, "it ignited the fire within us", the fire to say no!To put a stop to the evil that exists, the strength to come forward and take the reins in our hands, its we who would decide whats good for our country!Yes!Its time to decided, its time to choose the best for our nation, its time to welcome that one drop that would give us a ray of hope.
Its time to vote.

True, every drop counts! Valuable thoughts sana. Each vote makes a difference...But this time I can't vote, since my name was not given to the voter's list when it was taken. I fail to do a responsible duty as a citizen :(

Hi :)

I have voted but the ink they use to put a mark on the finger is terrible and I think it will take at least two months to go. Why they can't use a better ink?

If you take the voters statistics into consideration you will find only about 13% of one billion Indians are eligible to vote. Of this 13% if any party gets about 60 to 70% of the votes they will be eligible to rule more than 1 billion people. I was shocked at the analysis.

India needs a strong government at the centre. As long as a conglomeration of parties get together and form a government, we are not going to get a stable government who can take independent decisions for the welfare of the country. Too many cooks spoil the broth. IF too many parties with different ideologies with regional interests come together, we will have a hotch potch rule at the centre.

I hope one party wins a majority and gets a chance to rule for 5 years without any unwanted opposition within the ruling combine.

You have explained your ideas very beautifully and I am sure you spent a lot time thinking about this post. I enjoyed reading the carefully crafted analogies which projects your message very powerfully. It was a sheer joy to read your post.

Have a lovely day:)

I could recollect the moment i stood in a trauma looking at the voting machineon which symbol to vote for. Rather many might have faced a situation where we have felt the person none are worth to be our leader.
I have selected for the best among the worsts!! What else to do? Indeed my name is not there na?

Yes we are all a drop of water and you are probably right God shoved us out, after all the Devil was at one time God's Arch Angel, seems hard to believe. I know a lot of people that are still afraid every since the 911 attack. I like the way you wrote this, very nice.
