mY wORLD!

Oh! My Country, I am overjoyed!
Overjoyed at the fact that you are my home,
You are my world for me, for sure,
You are like the fresh drops of dew,
I opened my eyes in your arms,
you are where I want to breathe my last,
I moved on you as a toddler and then embraced the unknown path ahead,
There were moments when some made me feel you're not mine,
The moments passed but I held on to you,
Oh! My country, this is just a bit of my love for you!
I will strive to make you shine one day,
We'll share together, whatever comes our way,
I'll always hold on to you, as you've always held on to me,
You are an essential part of my being...
and on this Independence Day when we'd celebrate our freedom together,
Love would resound through the beautiful words of joy,
Saare Jahan Se Accha, Hindustan Hamara:)

Hi Sana:)

Lovely, inspiring patriotic poem.

I wish the politicians, the black marketeers, the smugglers, the corrupt and the criminals of this country read this poem and understand the true meaning of patriotism.

To see a national flag on the window of a poor man's house reflects not only his patriotism but the enormous amount work that is yet to be done in removing poverty, hunger, homelessness, unemployment, misery and suffering in our great nation.

This poem is a great inspiration to me.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY,SANA:)
