Just Hold On

We often feel that certain decisions in our life are not what we wanted them to be, they could have been better or is it that they are for the better?...least do we realise that sometimes when the cord of our life gets entangled, its then that God guides us towards a new path...a path that leads to something thats definately for the better, but we being human feel that life's being unfair.
All of us believe in God, we say that we trust him, but when in pain, inspite of praying we fail to hold on to our trust, we question the Almighty as to why he put us through the test of time and He just keeps smiling.
Then finally we get something better, something we could not even imagine and we thank him and caress the cord of trust once again.
He was there throughout, he never gave up on us, he knew he had better plans, while the firmness of our belief swayed in the midst of the chaos generated in our life, through our deeds.
Do we humans really know what trust is all about, or is it just a convinient word for us, which we hold on to firmly when things are right and lose track of it when things don't seem to be going the way we want them to.
Do we know that another word for love is trust or is it just a great feeling for us?
Does our dictionary define everything on the grounds of convinience?
Every prayer is answered, coz God loves us for who we are,he knows what's best for us and this is why he has a better way to answer our prayers.......something thats beyong our imagination :)

Just hold on, for he's about to answer,
Just hold on, for he's definately there,
Just hold on to the cord of trust,
and leave the crutches of despair.
Just hold on, for he has better plans,
the ones we cannot percieve,
Just hold on, for a prayer is answered,
in the best way that it could be.
Just hold on, for it might take time,
but each word has been touched with love,
Just hold on for God loves you but wants to test your trust.

Can completely relate to your post. True that life doesn't happen the way we want it to...at times its accompanied with a lot of misery. I guess that's when faith floats. Very thought provoking!!

I like the way you pick up topics from here and there which apparently look trivial but not so trivial in deeper meaning, and then make a great post out of it.

This is something i have experienced so many times in life that apparently I am not happy the way certain things fall into place but later realized that it happened for betterment only. And this has taught me to never loose your patience and hope, do your best, be honest and leave the rest upon HIM. You will surely be rewarded...

U remind me of this famous quote which i absolutely love and have followed all along
"ONE NIGHT A MAN DREAMED HE WAS WALKING ALONG A BEACH WITH THE LORD. AS SCENES FROM HIS LIFE FLASHED BEFORE HIM, HE LOOKED AT THE PATH OF FOOTPRINTS AND NOTICED THAT DUING THE SADDEST TIMES OF HIS LIFE, THERE WAS ONLY ONE SET OF FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND. TROUBLED, HE ASKED'LORD, WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME WHEN I NEEDED YOU THE MOST?" THE LORD REPLIED, "DURING YOUR TIMES OF TRIAL, WHEN YOU SEEN ONLY ONE SET OF FOOTPRINTS, IT WAS THEN I CARRIED YOU." - author unknown

Like everyone, I too feel this post was just written for me :-) When things don't go the way we wish, or at difficult times, we always grumble; only to see it was for own betterment.

Like gold, which goes through an ordeal before it becomes a dazzlingly jewelry, a true devotee will also encounter difficulties. As you have beautifully put, "We should Just Hold On"

The ending poem was also too good :-) Thanks for such an inspirational write-up sana.

Hope you had a wonderful Ramadan.

Cheers!

Hey nice one sana. But i think success or failure often depends on one's attitude towards life and one's belief in himself. God plays a role there... but it's more the individual. What do u think?

Yes Mustaf, Life is a lesson for each one of us :) Thankshe warm wishes and same to u!
Yes Rush Ive come across that one before, found it truely amazing:) Its so true isnt it...but you know its we who fail to realise God's blessings most of the time..
Yes it was great Mani:) Thanks!I know, we all go thru similar experiences..that add on to the memoirs of the journey called life:)
Yes Ajai, I agree with you, but sometimes it so happens that we try a lot but still don't achieve what we want to and start losing hope, thats when we should be patient coz God certainly has better plans for us, he may grant us something we really need :)

Hi Sana:)

What you have written is absolutely true. Our trust is very fragile and will break at the slightest difficulty we face. As long as things are going well, we keep saying-- I trust in God. When something goes wrong, we start asking—WHY ME? – instead of holding on to our trust and pray harder for a solution, we doubt God’s faithfulness and blame HIM.

Most of the problems we are exposed to are brought upon by us through our own mistakes but we blame God for putting us to the test. Most often we take decisions without studying the facts. We don’t use our common sense. We don’t listen to our conscience. And we commit blunder. The problem is ours. God always finds a way out but it takes time and patience.

Very interesting post.

Have a nice day Sana:)
Joseph
